Crescent’s Master Electricians have passed electrical exams and received licenses in the states of Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia and in 9 Maryland counties: Montgomery, Prince Georges, Frederick, Howard, Carroll , Baltimore, Saint Mary’s, and Baltimore City. In our beginnings, DC voltage was the product and most fuses were located in the attic or the top floor and the wiring method was knob & tube. We are dedicated to keeping our staff trained in all areas of the rapidly changing electrical industry. Our Master Electricians complete the National Electrical Code Continuing Education Classes for each Jurisdiction we service. For your protection you can trust us for up-to-date training on job, tool and equipment safety.
Crescent Electric has serviced thousands of citizens from all walks of life throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area. We have performed electrical servicing to our Presidents, Vice Presidents, Cabinet Members, and House and Senate members dating back to the Delano Roosevelt era. The Yoho Family emigrated from Germany to Philadelphia in 1742 and settled in western Pennsylvania. Our family moved to Washington D.C. during the great depression in hopes of securing work to support the family. Two brothers were first employed to upgrading the electrical wiring at the U.S. Capitol. A new career had been launched. After serving their country during WW ll, they started in 1948 what is now Crescent Electric Service Company, Inc.
